    Create and manage Date Groups

    Learn how to add, edit, and delete Date Groups on the Merchant Portal.

    Date Group enables you to define specific dates or date ranges during which  your shop operates. For example, you can create a Date Group for December holidays and use it to include or exclude certain items from the menu, adjust pricing, or suspend certain promotions on those specified dates.

    In this article, you’ll learn how to create, modify, and delete Date Groups on the Merchant Portal.

    Delete

    Important: You must have access to group or organization permissions to access Date Groups settings.

    Create a Date Group

    To add a Date Group, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings, then click on Date Group.
    3. At the top right, click on + Add Date Group.
    4. Enter the Date Group name per language. To add more languages, click on +Languages.
    5. Click on the Date Group type that you want to create. You can choose from the following:
      • Repeat Yearly - Allows you to create a date group for regularly occurring holidays that happen on the same day every year. For example, Christmas Day (December 25), New Year's Day (January 1), Valentine's Day (February 14), etc.
      • Specific Day - Allows you to create a date group for regularly occurring events that may fall on a different day every year. For example, Chinese New Year, national holidays, restaurant anniversary, etc.
    6. Under "Date," input the date for the date group. To add more dates, repeat this step.
      • Repeat Yearly: Select the date and month for the date group.
      • Specific Day: Select the date, month, and year for the date group.
    7. Click on Save to confirm.

    Edit a Date Group

    To modify a Date Group, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings, then click on Date Group.
    3. On the Date Group you want to modify, click on Edit .
    4. Update the Date Group’s information.
    5. At the top right, click on Save to confirm the changes.

    Delete a Date Group

    To remove a Date Group, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings, then click on Date Group.
    3. On the Date Group that you want to remove, click on Delete . The Date Group will disappear from the list.
