Customize the Receipt Template
Learn how to configure Receipt Template settings in the Eats365 POS or the Merchant Portal to customize printed receipt appearance.
You can configure the “Receipt Template” settings to add or remove certain information displayed on printed receipts.
In this article, you’ll learn about Receipt Template settings and how to change them on the Eats365 POS or Merchant Portal.
Configure the Receipt Template
To customize the Receipt Template, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings
. - Under "Settings," tap Printing, then select Receipt Template.
- Choose an option to change based on your preferences.
- At the top right, tap Save to confirm.
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Printing.
- At the top, click on Receipt Settings tab.
- Choose an option to change based on your preferences.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings.
- Click on Printing. Then, select Receipt Settings.
- At the top, click on Receipt Template tab.
- Choose an option to change based on your preferences.
Receipt Template options
You can change the following options in the Receipt Template settings:
Eats365 POS
Receipt Display Style
You can toggle these settings on 
or off 
, then preview a sample of what the Receipt would look like by tapping Receipt Preview.
Receipt Type
Choose from the following options:
- Restaurant / Bar
- Hotel / Motel
The "Hotel / Motel" receipts include an additional section labeled “Hotel Use.” This section can be configured to display input fields for guest name, room number, tip, total charge amount, and signature area. The other settings are identical for both receipt types.

Receipt Combo Quantity Display Type
Select how the quantity of combo options are displayed on the receipt. Choose between “Type 1” or “Type 2.”

Print Receipt Header
Displays the receipt header.
Print Takeout Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Takeout” indicator on the receipt.
Print Dine-in Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Dine-in” indicator on the receipt.
Print Catering Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Catering” indicator on the receipt.
Print Takeout Online Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Takeout” indicator for online orders on the receipt.
Print Dine-in Online Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Dine-in” indicator for online orders on the receipt.
Print Catering Indicator on Receipt
Displays a “Catering” indicator for online orders on the receipt.
Show Dining Mode near Order No.
Displays the transaction’s dining type beside the order number on the receipt.
Print Order Number on Dine-in Receipt
Displays the order number on the receipt for dine-in orders.
Print Receipt Number on Receipt
Displays the receipt number on the receipt.
Print Stub on Dine-in Receipt
Prints an extra ticket with a barcode containing the order information. The additional ticket is linked with the dine-In receipt.
Print Delivery Time or Pickup Time on Receipt
Displays the delivery or pickup time on receipts for takeout orders.
Print Cutlery Receipt
Displays cutlery request on the receipt.
Hide Not Paid Wordings on Unpaid Bills
Removes the “Not Paid” indicator on unpaid bills.
Print Item Price on Auto Printed Bill
Displays item price on automatically printed bills.
Print Zero Amount Items
Displays items with zero amount on the receipt.
Print Zero Amount Modifier
Displays modifiers with zero amount on the receipt.
Print identical Single Items combined
Combines identical single items as a single entry on the receipt.

Print Modifier Amount on Receipt
Displays the price of modifiers on the receipt.
Hide Zero Amount Non Sales Item
Removes non-sales items with zero amount from the receipt.
Hide Currency Symbol
Removes the currency symbol from the receipt.
Print Special Request on Receipt
Displays customers’ special requests on the receipt.
Print Suggested Tip on Dine-in Receipt
Displays suggested tips on the receipt for dine-in orders.
Note: Suggested tips can be configured from the Dine-In settings. For more information, refer to Set up Dine-In settings.
Print Suggested Tip on Takeout Receipt
Displays suggested tips on the receipt for takeout orders.
Note: Suggested tips can be configured from the Takeout settings. For more information, refer to Set up Takeout settings.
Print Rounding Difference on Receipt
Displays the rounding difference for the total amount on the receipt.
Print Tax on Receipt
Displays tax information on the receipt.
Hide Discount Breakdown
Removes discount breakdown from the receipt.
Print Average Spending on Bill
Displays the average amount spent per person on the total order. The average is computed by dividing the total bill amount by the number of patrons included in the group.
Print Sales by Product Type on Receipt
Displays the sales information by product type on the the receipt.
Print Barcode on Receipt
Displays a scannable barcode on the receipt.
Print Store Name on Receipt
Displays the store name on the receipt.
Print Restaurant Phone Number on Receipt
Displays the restaurant’s contact information on the receipt.
Print Restaurant Address on Receipt
Displays the restaurant’s address on the receipt.
Print Printing Time on Receipt
Displays the time when the receipt was printed.
Print Payment Time
Displays the time when a payment has been made.
Print Payment Staff
Displays the name of the staff that processed the payment.
Print Number of Patrons
Displays customer party size on the receipt.
Print Order Remarks
Displays order remarks on the receipt.
Print Loyalty QR Code on Receipt
Displays a loyalty QR Code on both the confirmation and payment receipt. When this setting is enabled, you can configure the following settings:
- Loyalty QR Code Secret Key - Decrypts the QR Code in order to view loyalty information.
- Print Loyalty QR Code When Member Assigned - Displays loyalty QR Code on the receipt when a member is added to the order.
- Print Loyalty QR code on Payment Receipt Only - Displays loyalty QR Code only on the payment receipt. By default, this setting is turned off, and the loyalty QR Code is printed on both confirmation and payment receipts.
Print Promotion QR Code on Receipt
Displays a QR Code that directs to an ongoing promotion on the receipt.
Print Store Logo on Receipt
Displays the restaurant’s logo on the receipt.
Print Bottom Image on Receipt
Displays an image at the bottom of the receipt.
Free text areas
Applies to the following areas on the receipt:
- Above restaurant logo
- Below restaurant logo
- Bottom of the receipt
- Bottom of Scan to Order QR Code
- Below Loyalty QR Code
- Below Promotion QR Code
Free text areas are text boxes where you can enter any message that you’d like to include on the receipt.
Typically, it’s recommended to include your return policy or any relevant information for your customers.

Print Delivery Address on Takeout Receipt
Displays the customer’s delivery address on the receipt for takeout orders.
Print Contact Name on Receipt
Displays the customer’s contact name on the receipt.
Print Contact Phone Number on Receipt
Displays the customer’s contact number on the receipt.
DeleteLoyalty
Select Loyalty Information to Print on Receipt
Adds Loyalty information such as member name and remaining loyalty program points.
Items Filtering
Note: This setting only applies to Food Court.
When a POS is linked with a specific vendor, this setting controls whether receipts printed by the POS will filter items from other vendors. You may choose between Only Show items of that Vendor or Print all Items in that Order.

Printing Language
Sets the default language of printed receipts.
Enable Dual Language Printing for Menu Items
Gives the option to print two languages for a Menu Item.

Important: Item names must be entered for the selected languages separately in Menu Setup. For more information on Menu Setup settings, refer to Set up and manage a Single Item or Set up and manage a Combo Item.

Receipt Template
Choose from the following options:

Combo Item Quantity Display Type
Choose between Type 1 or Type 2.
Print Indicator on Receipt
Applies to the following options:
- Dine-In
- Takeout
- Takeout Online
- Dine-In Online
Prints an indicator on the receipt based on how the customer places the order.
Print Stub on Dine-In Receipt
Allows you to print an extra check with a barcode containing the order information. The additional check is linked with the Dine-In Receipt.
Print Zero Amount
- Items
- Modifiers
Includes Zero Amount Items or Modifiers on the receipt. Zero Amount are menu Items that don’t have an added cost. For example, free drinks or free dessert that comes with a meal.
Print Identical Combined
Applies to the following options:
- Identical Single Items
- Identical Discounts
- Identical Modifiers
Combines multiple identical entries into a single line item on the receipt. For example, a customer orders two servings of Chocolate Pudding for $12.00. The receipt can either say “2x Chocolate Pudding for $24.00” or “Chocolate Pudding twice each for $12.00.”
Print Average Spending on Dine-In Receipt
Displays the average amount spent per person on the total order. The average is computed by dividing the total bill amount by the number of patrons included in the group.
Hide Zero Amount Non Sales Item
Removes non-sales Item with zero amount from the receipt.

Select Loyalty Information to Print on Receipt
Adds Loyalty information such as member name and remaining loyalty program points.

Prints Loyalty QR only on the payment receipt. By default, this setting is turned off, and the Loyalty QR is printed on both confirmation and payment receipts.
Loyalty QR Code Secret Key
Used to decrypt the QR Code in order to view Loyalty information.
Printing Language
Sets the default language of printed receipts.

Gives the option to print two languages for a Menu Item.
Important: Item names must be entered for the selected languages separately in Menu Setup. For more information on Menu Setup settings, refer to Set up and manage a Single Item or Set up and manage a Combo Item.

Receipt Theme
Note: This function is supported on POS version 2.71 or later.
Receipt Theme (Beta)
Applies the selected theme to printed receipts. You can select from the following themes:

Font Size on Receipt
Note: This feature is only available when “Theme 2” is selected as the Receipt Theme.
Sets the text on the receipt to your preferred font size.

Displays a QR Code that directs to an ongoing promotion on the receipt.
You can customize Promotion QR code section further by entering the following:
- URL or Plain Text of QR Code
- Free Text under Promotion QR Code
Online Store QR Code
Print Online Store QR Code on Receipt
Displays a QR code that directs to your Branded Online Store website or Eats365 Marketplace shop depending on your preference.
Only Print for Specific Dining Type
Allows you to print the Online Store QR Code on receipts only for select dining types.
Online Store Website
Determines the website where customers will be directed when they scan the Online Store QR code on their receipt. The landing website can be your Branded Online Store website or Eats365 Marketplace shop. These website options will only appear in the list if they are configured for your restaurant.
In the “Online Store Website” drop-down list, select the website that you want to use as the QR code’s landing website.
Custom Text
Includes a custom message section for the Online Store QR code on receipts.
Enter the “Custom Message Title” and “Custom Message Content.” If you’re using a multi-language menu, you can add custom messaging in your preferred languages. Click on + Languages to add more.
DeleteSelf Checkout
Print Payment QR Code on Bill
Displays a payment QR code at the bottom of the bill that customers can use to self checkout by paying online directly.
Note: You must have an integrated payment setup. For more information, refer to Set up and manage integrated payments.
Free Text under Payment QR Code
Allows you to enter instructions on how to perform self-checkout for your customers. This overrides the included system default message.

Print Delivery Address on Takeout Receipt
Displays the customer’s delivery address on the receipt for takeout orders.
Print Contact Name on Receipt
Displays the customer’s contact name on the receipt.
Print Contact Phone Number on Receipt
Displays the customer’s contact number on the receipt.

Print Loyalty QR Code on Receipt
Displays a loyalty QR Code on both the confirmation and payment receipt. When this setting is enabled, you can configure the following settings:
- Print Loyalty QR code on Payment Receipt Only - Displays loyalty QR Code only on the payment receipt. By default, this setting is turned off, and the loyalty QR Code is printed on both confirmation and payment receipts.
- Loyalty QR Code Secret Key - Decrypts the QR Code in order to view loyalty information.
- Print Loyalty QR Code When Member Assigned - Displays loyalty QR Code on the receipt when a member is added to the order.

- Show Guest Name

Important:

- Food Court-type restaurants may also choose to override the global printing settings and choose to print additional languages separately. For more information, refer to Manage receipt printing settings.
- Overriding general receipt printing settings is only available on Merchant Portal 2.0. Changes made using the Merchant Portal (Classic Theme) or the Eats365 POS will be applied to all vendors.
