Set up Rounding
Learn how to choose your preferred rounding method for payments on the Eats365 POS or on the Merchant Portal.
"Rounding" settings provide control over how your customer’s payments are rounded. allowing you to tailor this aspect of the transaction process. You can configure the rounding method to round up, round down, or round to the nearest convenient denomination for ease of handling cash or providing change.
To set up your Rounding settings, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings
. - Under "Settings," tap Rounding.
- Set your preferred rounding method.
- At the top right, tap Save to confirm.
You can set the rounding method for the following options:
Amount
Rounding Method
Set the rounding method for the total bill amount. You can select from the following options:
- Math - Applies standard mathematical rounding (up if the final digit is 5 or above, down if below 5).
- Rounding Down - Always rounds the total down. For example, a bill of $15.01 may round to $15, depending on your chosen rounding increment.
Round to the Nearest
Select the value that a given amount will be rounded by.
Apply to Cash Only
When this setting is enabled, rounding will only apply to cash payments.
Cash Refund Rounding Method
Set the rounding method for cash refunds. You can select from the following options:
- Math - Applies standard mathematical rounding (up if the final digit is 5 or above, down if below 5).
- Rounding Up - Always rounds the total up. For example, a bill of $15.65 may round to $16, depending on your chosen rounding increment.
Discount
Rounding Method
Set the rounding method for the total discount amount. You can select from the following options:
- Math - Applies standard mathematical rounding (up if the final digit is 5 or above, down if below 5).
- Rounding Up - Always rounds the total up. For example, a bill of $15.65 may round to $16, depending on your chosen rounding increment.
- Rounding Down - Always rounds the total down. For example, a bill of $15.01 may round to $15, depending on your chosen rounding increment.

DeleteMerchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Rounding.
- Set your preferred rounding method.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
You can set the rounding method for the following options:

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.
