Create and manage bundle promotions
Learn how to create, modify, and delete bundle promotions on the Eats365 POS and Merchant Portal.
A Bundle Promotion is a type of discount that requires customers to buy at least two participating items to qualify. For example, you can create a promotion that bundles your menu’s “Pastry” and “Coffee” categories together. So, when a customer buys a Croissant and an Iced Latte in the same order, the discount you set for the bundle promotion applies to the order automatically.

Important: Bundle promotions can only be applied to orders placed on the Eats365 POS.
In this article, you’ll learn how to set general bundle promotion preferences, and how to create, edit, and delete a bundle promotion.
Configure general bundle promotion preferences
To set general bundle promotion settings, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Open the Eats365 POS app.
- At the top left, tap Settings
. - Under Settings, tap Discount, then tap General.
- From this page, you can turn on
or off 
the following settings based on your preferences:- Bundle Discounts
- Allow item level Fixed Amount Discount to combine with Bundle Discount
- Allow item level Percentage Discount to combine with Bundle Discount
- Allow CRM Member Storewide Discount to combine with Bundle Discount
- Allow CRM Member Rewards to combine with Bundle Discount
- Allow 3rd Party CRM Member Discount to combine with Bundle Discount

Bundle Discount Offer Preference:
- Highest Offer: Sets the POS to identify and apply the highest offer the bundle discount can offer. For example, if you create a “Buy One, Get One” bundle discount that includes items with varying prices, the POS will apply the best deal that the customer can get. In this example, assuming that the customer’s order includes all “Get One” items, if the different flavors of pizza costs $10, $12, and $15, the customer would get a $15 discount.
- Standard Offer: Sets the POS to identify and apply the lowest offer. For example, if you create a “Buy One, Get One” bundle discount that includes items with varying prices, the POS will apply the discount to the lowest priced item. In this example, assuming that the customer’s order includes all “Get One” items, if the different flavors of pizza costs $10, $12, and $15, the customer would get a $10 discount.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, under Discount, click on General.
- From this page, you can turn on
or off the following settings depending on your restaurant’s discount policies:- Bundle Discounts
- Apply Open Amount to Bundle Promotion
- Apply Open Percentage to Bundle Promotion
- Apply Membership Storewide to Bundle Promotion
- Apply Membership Rewards to Bundle Promotion
- Apply Third Party Discount to Bundle Promotion

- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Discount, then click on General.
- From this page, you can turn on

- Bundle Discounts
Create a bundle promotion
To create a discount, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Open the Eats365 POS app.
- At the top left, tap Settings .
- Under Settings, tap Discount. Then, select Bundle Discount.
- At the top right, tap Add Discount. You’ll be directed to the Basic Information page.
- Under Discount Preview, select an available coupon design for the discount or tap Upload Image to upload a custom image.
- By default, Active is turned on. If your discount isn’t active yet, turn Active off .
- Add the following discount information:
Tip: If your restaurant uses multi-language menus, tap the Language drop-down, then select an additional language. Once the language is changed, add the same information in that language.- Discount Name
- Receipt Name (As appears on the receipt)
- (Optional) Available Quantity
- Discount Description
- Terms / Conditions
- Tap the Specific Service Type drop-down menu, then enable the service types that support the discount. If a service type is disabled, the discount can’t be used for that service type.
- (Optional) Enter a Discount Code to add a unique identifier to the discount.
- Enter a Reporting ID for report purposes.
- Under Availability, enter the following information:
- Date: Set the Start Date and End Date.

Time slots: Tap + Add Time Slot. Then, specify the discount’s availability:
- Time: By default, “00:00 to 23:59" is set on the clock. To set the discount to only be available to use during a specific window of the day, set your preferred Start Time and End Time.
- Day: By default, all seven days of the week are included. To set the discount to only be available for use on select days, click on the day to exclude it.
- Once you’ve added the discount’s availability, at the top left, tap Back
to return to the Basic Information page. - At the top, tap Discount Details.
- Under Bundle Items, tap Add Bundle Item.
Tip: You must add at least two menu items to create a bundle promotion. - In the name field, enter a name for the bundle item.
- Next to Quantity, enter the quantity of the bundle item that customers must purchase to avail of the bundle promotion.
- Tap Included Items. Then, at the top right, tap Add Category or Add Items.
- Select the category or item you’d like to add.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, tap Excluded Items. Then, at the top right, tap Add Item to select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Under Offer Type, tap the Buy All Bundle Items drop-down list. Then, choose whether the customer will Save Certain Amount or Get Certain Items if qualified for the bundle promotion. Refer to the Offer Type section below to learn how to add an offer to a bundle promotion.
- Once you’re done adding offers, at the top right, tap Save.

Then, choose whether the customer will Save Certain Amount or Get Certain Items if qualified for the bundle promotion. Refer to the Offer Type section below to learn how to add an offer to a bundle promotion.
- Once you’re done adding offers, at the top right, click on Save.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Discount. Then, select Bundle Discount.
- Beside Discount Image, click on Browse
. - Enable Active to activate the discount upon saving. If Active is off , the discount can’t be used.
- Add the following discount information:
Tip: If your restaurant supports multi-language menu, add the same information in all available languages. Click on Add Languageto add more.- Discount Name
- Receipt Name
- Discount Description
- Terms / Conditions
- (Optional) Available Quantity
- (Optional) Enter a Discount Code to add a unique identifier to the discount.
- Enter an Item Code for report purposes.
- To allow the discount to be used on pre-orders, under Availability, turn on Available for Pre-order .
- Click on the Available For drop-down list, then select the service types that support the discount. If a service type is disabled, the discount can’t be used for that service type.
- Enter the following information:
- Available: Set the Start and End dates.
- Time Slots: Click on + Add Time Slot. Then, specify the discount’s availability:
- Start Time and End Time: By default, “00:00” and “23:59” are set on the clock. To set the discount to only be available to use during a specific window of the day, set your preferred Start Time and End Time.
- Repeat: By default, all seven days of the week are included. To set the discount to only be available for use on select days, click on the day to exclude it.
- Special Handling Date(s) and Unavailable Date(s): If your restaurant has Date Group set up, click on the drop-down list and select the applicable Date Group to use a predefined availability for the discount.
- At the top, click on Discount Detail.
- Under Bundle Item(s), click on + Add Bundle Item. Then, enter a name for the bundle item.
Tip: You must add at least two menu items to create a bundle promotion. - Next to Quantity, enter the quantity of the bundle item that customers must purchase to avail of the bundle promotion.
- Click on the Included Category(s) or Included Item(s) drop-down list. Then, select the category or item you’d like to add.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, click on the Excluded Items drop-down list and select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Under Offer Type, choose Buy All Bundle Item(s) from the drop-down list. Then, choose whether the customer will Save Certain Amount or Get Certain Items if qualified for the bundle promotion. Refer to the Offer Type section below to learn how to add an offer to a bundle promotion.
- Once you’re done adding offers, at the top right, click on Save.

Important: The Price Condition function allows you to set rules that determine whether an order’s total amount meets the condition you set. When an order doesn’t meet the condition, the discount will not apply. If you plan to add Price Condition rules to the bundle promotion you’re creating, set Price Condition rules first before adding offers under Offer Type.
Save Certain Amount
Offers the bundled items for a certain price. When a customer is eligible for the bundle promotion, the amount you set will apply to their order as a discount.
Eats365 POS
With Price Condition
To add Save Certain Amount offers that include Price Condition rules, follow the steps below:
- Under Price Condition, turn on Offers based on Price Condition .
- Tap Single/Multiple Price Condition, then choose one of the following:

Single
- Tap Price Condition, then select the price condition rule you’d like to set.
- Next to Total Amount of Bundle Items ($), enter the appropriate amount based on the price condition you’ve selected.

Multiple
Note: When you choose to add multiple price conditions, you must set the price condition rules for each offer.- Under Offers based on Price Condition, enter a name for the offer.
- Tap Price Condition, then select the price condition rule you’d like to set.
- Next to Total Amount of Bundle Items ($), enter the appropriate amount based on the price condition you’ve selected.
- Tap Offer. Then, tap the Offer drop-down menu.
- Choose one of the following:

Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.
- Next to Bundle Price, enter the price of the bundle promotion.

Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the bundle promotion price.
- Next to Discount Amount($), enter the discount.

Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.
- To add more offers, tap Back . Then, tap Add Offer.

Without Price Condition
To add Save Certain Amount offers to a discount without Price Condition rules, follow the steps below:
- Under Offers, tap the Offer drop-down list.
- Choose one of the following:

Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.
- Next to Bundle Price, enter the price of the bundle promotion.

Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the bundle promotion price.
- Next to Discount Amount($), enter the discount.

Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.

- Under Price Condition, turn on Enable Price Condition .

- Next to Offer, select one of the following. Then, enter the bundle price or discount amount:
- Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.
- Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the bundle promotion price.

- Under Offers based on Price Condition, enter a name for the offer.
- Next to Total Amount of Bundle Items, select the price condition rule you’d like to set. Then, enter the appropriate amount based on the price condition you’ve selected.
- Next to Offer, select one of the following. Then, enter the bundle price or discount amount:
- Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items for a certain amount.
- Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the bundle promotion price.
Get Certain Item(s)
Allows you to set different rules for bundle items such as making certain items free, selling bundles at a discounted price, or deducting a certain amount from the bundled items.
Eats365 POS
With Price Condition
To add Get Certain Item(s) offers that include Price Condition rules, follow the steps below:
- Under Price Condition, turn on Offers based on Price Condition .
- Tap Single/Multiple Price Condition, then select one of the following:

Single
- Tap Price Condition, then select the price condition rule you’d like to set.
- Next to Total Amount of Bundle Items ($), enter the appropriate amount based on the price condition you’ve selected.
- Under Offers, enter a name for the offer.
Note: You can add more than one offer per bundle promotion. Tap Add Offer to add more. - Tap Included Items, then at the top right, tap Add Category or Add Items.
- Select the category or items that you’d like to include.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, tap Back, then tap Excluded Items. At the top right, tap Add Item and select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Tap Back to go back to the Discount Details page.
- Tap Offer, then choose one of the following:
- Free: Makes the included item(s) free.

Specific Price: Offers the bundled items at a discounted price.
- Next to Amount($), enter the price.

Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the total price of the bundled items.
- Next to Discount, enter the discount amount.
- If the offer details vary by item, turn off Apply to All Items . Then, set the offer per item.

Note: When you choose to add multiple price conditions, you must set the price condition rules for each offer. Tap Add Offer to add more.- Under Offers based on Price Condition, tap Price Condition, then select the price condition rule you’d like to set.
- Next to Total Amount of Bundle Items ($), enter the appropriate amount based on the price condition you’ve selected.
- Tap Offer, then at the top right, tap Add Offer. Then, enter a name for the offer.
- Tap Included Items, then at the top right, tap Add Category or Add Items.
- Select the categories and items that you’d like to include.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, tap Back, then tap Excluded Items. At the top right, tap Add Item and select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Tap Back to go back to the Discount Details page.
- Tap Offer, then choose one of the following:

- Select the category or items that you’d like to include.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, tap Back, then tap Excluded Items. At the top right, tap Add Item and select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Tap Back to go back to the Discount Details page.
- Tap Offer, then choose one of the following:
- Free: Makes the included item(s) free.

- Under Price Condition, turn on Enable Price Condition .

- Next to Offer, click on Set Offer. Then, enter a name for the offer.
- Click on the Included Category(s) or Included Items drop-down list, then select the categories and items that you’d like to include.
Note: When you add a category, you’re including all items under that category. To exclude select items from that category, click on click on the Excluded Item(s) drop-down list. At the top right, click on Add Item and select the item(s) you’d like to include. - Next to Default Offer, choose one of the following:
Tip: You can add more than one offer. At the top right, click on + Addto add more.- Free: Makes the included item(s) free.

Bundle Price: Offers the bundled items at a discounted price.
- Enter the price.

Discount: Deducts a certain amount from the total price of the bundled items.
- Enter the discount amount.
- If the offer details vary by item, turn off Apply to All Items . Then, set the offer per item.

Without Price Condition
To add Get Certain Item(s) offers to a discount without Price Condition rules, follow the steps below:
- Under Offers, click on Set Offer. Then, enter a name for the offer.
Tip: You can add more than one offer per bundle promotion. At the bottom, click on +Add. - Click on the Included Category(s) or Included Items drop-down list, then select the categories and items that you’d like to include.

Use an existing discount to create a new discount
When creating a bundle promotion with details and settings that are similar to an existing bundle promotion, you can create a copy of the existing bundle promotion and use it to create a new discount. Duplicating a discount copies the original information of the discount into a new discount, reducing the effort needed to create a similar discount from scratch. Once a copy is created, you can customize the discount to fit the new bundle promotion you want to create.
To duplicate an existing bundle promotion, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Open the Eats365 POS app.
- At the top left, tap Settings .
- Under Settings, tap Discount. Then, select Bundle Discount.
- Next to the discount you’d like to duplicate, tap the three-dot menu
. Then, tap Copy to a new Discount 
. This creates a new discount with the same information as the original discount.
Tip: To search for a discount by name, at the top right, tap Search Coupon. Then, enter the discount name. - Configure the discount settings to fit the new discount. To learn more about discount settings, refer to the Create a bundle promotion section.
- Once done, at the top right, tap Save.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, select Bundle Promotion.
- Next to the discount you’d like to duplicate, click on Copy . This creates a new discount with the same information as the original discount.
Tip: You can use the search bar or Availability and Status filters to find an existing discount easier. - Configure the discount settings to fit the new discount. To learn more about discount settings, refer to the Create a bundle promotion section.
- Once done, at the top right, click on Save.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Discount, then select Bundle Discount.
- Next to the discount you’d like to duplicate, click on Copy

To update a bundle promotion, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Open the Eats365 POS app.
- At the top-left, tap Settings .

- Next to the discount you’d like to edit, tap the three-dot menu . Then, tap Edit
.
Tip: To search for a discount by name, at the top right, tap Search Coupon. Then, enter the discount name. - Apply your changes.
- Once done, at the top right, tap Save.
