    Configure a receipt printer to print a Shift Report

    Learn how to set a printer to print reports.

    You can print out the X Report in the middle of the day or the Z Report after ending a shift to sum up transactions made on the POS.

    In this article, you’ll learn how to set a receipt printer to print Shift Reports.

    Configure a printer to print reports

    To configure a printer to print a Shift Report, follow the steps below:

    Eats365 POS

    1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
    2. At the top left, tap Settings .
    3. Under “General,” tap Printer Setup, then choose a connected printer.
    4. Under “Supported Printing Types,” place a check mark beside “Report.”
    5. Tap Save to confirm.

    Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)

    Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Printer List.
    3. Next to the printer that you want to assign to print reports, click on View.
      Note: You must pair a printer to the Eats365 POS first to be able to configure the printer to print reports on the Merchant Portal. To connect a printer to the POS, refer to Scan and pair a printer.
    4. Under "Supported Printing Types," place a check mark beside "Report."
    5. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

    Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Printing.
    3. Click on Printer List.
    4. Next to the printer that you want to assign to print reports, click on View.
      Note: You must pair a printer to the Eats365 POS first to be able to configure the printer to print reports on the Merchant Portal. To connect a printer to the POS, refer to Scan and pair a printer.
    5. Under "Supported Printing Types," place a check mark beside "Report."
    6. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

    Print an X report

    An X report gives you the current sales totals and till activities at the time you generated the report.

    To print an X report, follow the steps below: 

    1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
    2. At the top left, tap Settings .
    3. Under "Business Operations," tap Shift Report.
    4. To print an X report, at the top right, tap Print Shift Report. 

    Print a Z report

    A Z report gives you the end-of-day sales totals and till activities. You can generate a Z report when you close your shift. 

    To print a Z report, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
    2. At the top left, tap Settings .
    3. Under “Business Operations,” tap Close Shift.
    4. Enter the closing till amount, then tap Close Shift to confirm.
      Note: If your restaurant accepts multiple currencies, enter the closing till amount in all applicable currencies.
    5. To print a Z report, tap Print Shift Report.
