The Sales by Modifier report provides a summary of your custom add-ons and side options, with data grouped by item, modifier, modifier master, or individual modifier option, to track the total gross sales volume and total quantities sold. This helps management monitor modifier popularity, optimize dish pairings, and analyze operational performance.

In this article, you’ll learn how to customize, generate, print, and export a Sales by Modifier report.

View Sales by Modifier report

To view your Sales by Modifier report, follow the steps below: 

1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
2. On the left panel, click on ReportingSalesSales by Modifier.
3. Select the date range that you wish to include in the report.
   
   
4. You can filter your search further and select how you want the data in the report to be presented by configuring the "Display By" and "Group by" options.
   • Display By: 
     • Modifier Option - Displays the data per individual modifier option. 
       
       
     • Modifier - Displays the data per modifier category. 
       
       
     • Item - Displays the data per item.
       
       
     • Modifier Master - Displays the data per Modifier Master. 
       
       
   • Group By: 
     • Same Item Name - The system groups items with the same name based on the default language. 
       Important: For modifiers and modifier options, ensure that identical names are used only within the same context to maintain accurate reporting. If a modifier option appears under multiple modifier categories, assign it a unique identifier to prevent discrepancies in the report.
       
       
     • Same Product Code (SKU) - The system groups items with the same Product Code (SKU) before grouping by the same name under the default language.
5. Click on Submit to retrieve the records.

Once the report is generated, you can check the complete breakdown per modifier or item by clicking Expand. To expand all data simultaneously, click on Expand All.

Print Sales by Modifier report

To print a Sales by Modifier report, click on Print. Then, select the printer where you want to print the report. 

Export Sales by Modifier report

To export a Sales by Modifier report, click on Export. An Excel file of the report gets downloaded to your computer. Open the file to view your exported report.
