Update 25.10.2: Japan formal receipt, mPOS printing, and other enhancements
Release date: 27 October 2025
POS enhancements
Support Japan Formal Receipt: This feature allows you to print an optional, Japan-standardized formal receipt, known as a "Ryoshusho (領収書)," upon customer request. A formal receipt provides a more comprehensive breakdown of transactions for business and tax purposes than the standard POS receipt.
mPOS enhancements
- New supported payment: Alipay
- Support the order surcharge function: Order surcharge will now be applied to orders placed through the mPOS.
- Support self-checkout: Staff can now authorize and manage self-checkout orders using the mPOS.
- Support printing: The mPOS can now be paired with a built-in printer on SUNMI and iMin devices to process printing jobs, including printing bills, receipts, and QR codes.
- Support dine-in table assignment: You can now use the mPOS to perform seating. If your restaurant allows self-ordering through Scan to Order and your mPOS device has a paired built-in printer, the mPOS will print the dynamic QR code.
- Support the "Order Lock" function: The "Order Lock" function will now also apply to the mPOS. For example, the order will be locked on the mPOS after a staff member prints the bill for the customer.
Merchant Portal enhancements
-
New Merchant Portal setting: Shop tags
- Shop tags allow you to associate tags with different restaurants, making it easier for you to filter and generate transaction data of selected restaurants in one report.
- You can use the Shoptags in the following reports:
- Sales Summary
- Daily Closing Report
- Transaction Report
- Your Merchant Portal user account must have organization-level access to manage the Shop Tags feature.
- New data on the Item Preparation Time Report: The Item Preparation Time Report will now include the time when an item was marked for preparation. The start time is recorded when you start the cooking time for an item on the Kitchen Display System. The "Cooking Time Indicator" function must be enabled to record the item preparation start time.
