Update 26.7.1: New supported payments and other POS and Modules enhancements
Release date: 20 July 2026
POS enhancements
- Payment method adjustments for Taiwan E-Tax users: Previously, restaurants in Taiwan with e-Tax integration were restricted from modifying active payment fields, even when the "Change Payment Method on Paid Orders" permission was enabled. This enhancement enables users with the right permissions to modify payment methods on finalized tickets, provided the Change Payment Method on Paid Orders permission is granted.
-
New setting to disable the “Tip” function on the POS: Added a "Disable Tip Entry" setting under System Preferences. You can now control whether you want to set the Eats365 POS to automatically process over-payments or change as tips during payment. This feature affects the following tenders:
- Default non-cash offline tenders
- Non-fixed amount custom tender
- Gift Card
- Member Credit
- Integrated payments which allow you to enter the tendered amount (Line Pay, 365pay, etc.)
- Cash
-
New setting to disable the “Multi-Payment” function on the POS: Added a "Disable Split Tender" setting under System Preferences to control whether you want to allow multi-payment processing on the Eats365 POS. This feature affects the following tenders:
- Default non-cash offline tenders
- Non-fixed amount custom tender
- Gift Card
- Member Credit
- Integrated payments which allow you to enter the tendered amount (Line Pay, 365pay, etc.)
- Cash
- Enhanced maximum tip validation: When "Maximum Tip Limit" is enabled, the system validates the entered tip amount and blocks amounts that exceed the accepted limits. Depending on the ordering channel and the payment method used, the restriction applies differently. This feature applies to the following modules:
- New setting in Discount 2.0 to bypass discount restrictions: Added "Ignore Basic Restriction" setting under Discount > General settings. Enabling this allows legacy Discount 1.0 Complimentary Item setups to bypass standard Discount 2.0 eligibility validation, ignoring category and item active date ranges, time slots, assigned permissions, and whether the item is an All You Can Eat menu item.
- New setting to direct scanned seat ticket to the payment screen or the order list screen: Added a "Scanning Seat Ticket" setting under System Preferences. This feature allows you to choose which page the POS displays immediately after scanning a customer's seat ticket.
- External Transaction ID search function: Added a new search filter to the Eats365 POS Order List page. Cashiers can now immediately search and retrieve tickets by entering the reference number generated on third-party delivery platforms or integrations.
- New supported payment: ShopBack
Merchant Portal enhancements
- New Setting for Octopus Online (365Pay): Added a "Separate Merchant ID for Takeout" setting under Octopus Online profile settings. This option allows you to set a different configuration for takeout orders.
- Bulk download 365Pay Payout History reports: Upgraded the Payout History dashboard interface to support downloading multiple Payout History data in a single export.
Branded Online Store enhancements
- Configuring Available Phone Country Codes: The phone country code list can now be configured separately for Guest Checkout. Previously, the list only followed the organization-wide preferences.
- Mobile Display Image Ads enhancements: Improved the item and category selection flow for image ads for better navigation.
Self Order Kiosk (Android) enhancements
- New supported payments:
- Taiwan Invoice setting enhancement: Adjusted the setting configuration for Taiwan invoice to be available on the Merchant Portal exclusively. The Taiwan Invoice setting on the Self Order Kiosk (Android) is for viewing purposes only.
- Removed timer countdown of 365pay: Removed visual timer countdown for 365pay transactions.
- Send Diagnostics Logs enhancement: The diagnostics log screen now shows whether the log upload is a success or failure.
- Special Handling Date discount rules: The Self Order Kiosk (Android) will now follow the settings configured on discounts regarding special handling dates.
