    Manage receipt printing settings

    Learn how to configure receipt preferences on the Eats365 POS and Merchant Portal.

    The Eats365 POS offers flexible printing options. You can configure your printer’s behavior, including when and how receipts are printed, through the printing settings in both the Eats365 POS and the Merchant Portal.

    In this article, you’ll learn about receipt printing settings and how to change them on the Eats365 POS and Merchant Portal.

    Configure Receipt Printing settings

    To set up your receipt printing settings, follow the steps below:

    Eats365 POS

    1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
    2. At the top left, tap Settings .
    3. Under "Settings," tap Printing. Then, select Receipt Printing.
    4. Turn on  or off  a setting based on your preference.
    5. At the top right, tap Save to confirm.

    Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)

    Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Printing.
    3. Under the Receipt Printing tab, turn on  or off  a setting based on your preference.
    4. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. 
    3. Click on Printing. Then, select Receipt Settings.
    4. Turn on  or off  a setting based on your preference.
    5. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

    Receipt Printing options

    You can change the following options in the Receipt Printing settings:

    Eats365 POS

    Confirmed Order

    Print Dine-in confirmation receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Dine-In order is confirmed.

    Print Takeout confirmation receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Takeout order is confirmed.

    Print Catering Confirmation Receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Catering order is confirmed.

    Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources

    Turn on this setting to apply different receipt printing rules for selected sources. When this setting is turned off, the printer will default to your standard POS settings. You must configure the “Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources” setting for all dining types.

    For example: 

    • If "Print Dine-in Confirmation Receipt" is enabled  and "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is disabled , the printer will print receipts for all confirmed dine-in orders regardless of the source.
    • If "Print Dine-in Confirmation Receipt" is disabled  but "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is enabled , you can selectively print receipts for confirmed dine-in orders from specific online sources.

    Online Source Printing Settings

    Delete

    Note: This setting becomes available when "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources"  is enabled.

    Specify the online sources you’re allowing the receipt printer to print.  You must configure the “Online Source Printing Settings” setting for all dining types.

    Modified Order

    Print receipt after table transfer

    Prints a receipt whenever a customer transfers to another table. The new table number is reflected on the re-printed receipt.

    Print receipt after order is edited

    Prints a receipt when a modification is made on a confirmed order.

    Print receipt when order is voided

    Prints a receipt when a void request is made.

    Print void receipt when item is canceled

    Prints a void receipt when an Item is cancelled.

    Payment

    Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt

    Prints a receipt when a Dine-In payment is made.

    Delete

    Tip: You can set the number of receipts printed by tapping the drop-down arrow for "Number of Prints."

    Auto print Takeout payment receipt

    Prints a receipt when a Takeout payment is made.

    Delete

    Tip: You can set the number of receipts printed by tapping the drop-down arrow for "Number of Prints."

    Auto Print Catering Payment Receipt

    Prints a receipt when a Catering payment is made.

    Delete

    Tip: You can set the number of receipts printed by tapping the drop-down arrow for "Number of Prints."

    Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources

    Turn on this setting  to apply different receipt printing rules for selected sources. When this setting is turned off, the printer will default to your standard POS settings. You must configure the “Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources” setting for all dining types.

    For example: 

    • If "Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt" is enabled  and "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is disabled , the printer will print receipts for all paid dine-in orders regardless of the source.
    • If "Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt" is disabled  but "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is enabled , you can selectively print receipts for paid dine-in orders from specific online sources.

    Online Source Printing Settings

    Delete

    Note: This setting becomes available when "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources"  is enabled.

    Specify the online sources you’re allowing the receipt printer to print. You must configure the “Online Source Printing Settings” setting for all dining types.

    Check Name Display

    When the settings under “Check Name Display” is enabled , the check name will be printed on the receipt. The name that appears can be a check name or a sequential order number. For more information, refer to the following articles:

    Display Check Name on Dine-in receipt

    Prints the check name on dine-in receipts.

    Display Check Name on Takeout receipt

    Prints the check name on takeout receipts.

    API Source

    Define the API source name that would appear on the list of online sources.

    Tip: Use the exact string that is used in “channel” in SEND_ORDER request.

    Confirmed Order

    Print Dine-in Confirmation Receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Dine-In order is confirmed.

    Print Takeout Confirmation Receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Takeout order is confirmed.

    Print Catering Confirmation Receipt

    Prints a receipt whenever a Catering order is confirmed.

    Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources

    Turn on Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources  to apply different receipt printing rules for selected sources. When this setting is turned off, the printer will default to your standard  POS settings.

    For example: 

    • If Print Dine-in Confirmation Receipt is enabled  and Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources is disabled , the printer will print receipts for all confirmed dine-in orders regardless of the source.
    • If Print Dine-in Confirmation Receipt is disabled  but Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources is enabled , you can selectively print receipts for confirmed dine-in orders from specific online sources.

    Online Sources

    Delete

    Note: This setting becomes available when Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources is enabled.

    Select the online sources that can be customized.

    Turn on Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources  to apply different receipt printing rules for selected sources. When this setting is turned off, the printer will default to your standard POS settings.

    For example: 

    • If Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt is enabled  and Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources is disabled , the printer will print receipts for all paid dine-in orders regardless of the source.
    • If Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt is disabled  but Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources is enabled , you can selectively print receipts for paid dine-in orders from specific online sources.

    Turn on this setting  to apply different receipt printing rules for selected sources. When this setting is turned off, the printer will default to your standard POS settings. You must configure the “Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources” setting for all dining types.

    For example: 

    • If "Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt" is enabled  and "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is disabled , the printer will print receipts for all paid dine-in orders regardless of the source.
    • If "Auto Print Dine-in Payment Receipt" is disabled  but "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources" is enabled , you can selectively print receipts for paid dine-in orders from specific online sources.

    Online Order Sources

    Delete

    Note: This setting becomes available when "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources"  is enabled.

    Select the online sources that can be customized. You must configure the “Online Order Sources” setting for all dining types.

    Note: This setting becomes available when "Custom Setting for Orders from Online Sources"  is enabled.

    Specify the online sources you’re allowing the receipt printer to print. You must configure the “Online Source Printing Settings” setting for all dining types.

    Configure receipt settings for each Foodcourt vendor

    By default, all receipt printing settings apply to all the vendors of the selected shop. For Foodcourt vendors, you can choose to override these settings to set different settings for a particular Foodcourt vendor. To do this, follow the steps below:

    Note: Overriding general receipt printing settings is only available on Merchant Portal 2.0. Changes made using Merchant Portal (Classic Theme) or the Eats365 POS will be applied to all vendors.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. 
    3. Click on Printing. Then, select Receipt Settings.
    4. At the top, click on the Vendor drop-down menu. Then, select the Foodcourt vendor that you want to set different receipt printing settings for. 
    5. Turn on Override Foodcourt Settings , then modify the settings based on your preference.
      Note: You’ll need to override settings separately for each dining type.
    6. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
