Configure general discount settings (Discount 2.0)
Learn how to create, modify, and delete discounts using Discount 2.0 on the Merchant Portal.
Configure your discount settings to support ongoing restaurant promotions, streamline operations, and tailor the Eats365 POS to your restaurant’s needs.
In this article, you’ll learn how to set up discount settings for Discount 2.0 on the Merchant Portal.
Before you start
- Ensure your discount settings have been migrated to the new “Discount 2.0”on the Merchant Portal. For more information about discount migration, refer to Migrate to Discount 2.0.
- Discount 2.0 is supported on the POS version 2.73 or later.
Configure general discount preferences
To set general discount settings, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings
.
- Under “Settings,” tap Discount
General.
- From this page, you can enable or disable the following settings based on your restaurant’s discount policies:

Bundle Discount
Note: For information about general Bundle Discount preferences, refer to Create and manage bundle promotions. -
Complimentary Item
- Combo Option and Item Modifier Add-on Price is Complimentary: Disables additional charges for combo options and modifier add-ons when using a combo item as a complimentary item.

Allow to Select Combo Options and Modifiers with Add-on Price: Enables you to select combo options and modifiers with add-on prices as a complimentary item.
Note: This option becomes available when “Combo Option and Item Modifier Add-on Price is Complimentary” is disabled. - Service Charge is Waived in Complimentary Item: Removes service charge from complimentary items.

Discount Usage Restrictions
- Restricted Use per Discount: Limits the number of times a discount can apply to an order.

Restricted Use in Conjunction: Defines a set of rules that determine whether a discount can be used together with other discount offers.

Bundle Discount
Merchant Portal 2.0
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Discount
General.
- Configure the settings based on your preferences.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

Restricted Use per Discount
Limits the number of times a discount can be applied to an order.
Enable Non-stackable Discount
Defines a set of rules that determine if a discount can be used together with other discount offers.
Merchant Facing Module
Enable Discount Restriction
Applies the discount restriction to merchant-facing modules such as the Eats365 POS.
Limit One Discount per Order
Sets a restaurant-wide limit of one discount per order.
Limit Auto Apply Discount when Discount Exists
Restricts the system from automatically applying multiple discounts to the same order. When enabled, only one discount will be automatically applied to the order.
Limit Manual Apply Discount when Discount Exists
Restricts the system from manually applying additional discounts to the same order when one discount is already applied. When enabled, manual application of discounts will be disabled on merchant-facing modules, such as the POS.
Consumer Facing Module
Enable Discount Restriction
Applies the discount restriction to consumer-facing modules such as the Branded Online Store and the Self Order Kiosk.
Limit One Discount per Order
Sets a restaurant-wide limit of one discount per order.
