Update 26.8.1: Staff meal allowance, eSignage 2.0 theme (tvOS), and other enhancements
Release date: 6 August 2026
New feature: Staff meal allowance
The Staff Meal Allowance feature is a flexible employee dining benefit management solution that enables restaurants to provide staff with configurable dining allowances. Restaurants can define allowance budgets, spending limits, redemption rules, eligible menu items, validity periods, and employee eligibility through customizable allowance plans. Employees can conveniently redeem their available balance when placing eligible orders, while restaurants maintain full control and visibility over meal benefit usage.
Feature highlights
- Customizable meal allowance plans: Create flexible meal allowance plans by defining allowance budgets, discount rates, spending limits, eligible menu items, redemption rules, and other benefit settings to meet your restaurant's policies.
- Employee segments: Organize staff into employee groups or tiers and assign each group to a specific meal allowance plan, allowing different employee categories to receive different meal benefits.
- In-store and online redemption: Allow employees to redeem their meal allowances when placing orders through the POS or the restaurant's Branded Online Store, providing a consistent dining experience across ordering channels.
-
Multi-location support: Enable employees to redeem their meal allowances at multiple restaurant locations. When an allowance is used at a location operating in a different currency, the system automatically converts the transaction amount to the allowance's default currency based on the configured exchange rate.
Note: A "Staff Meal" license is required for each restaurant that uses the Meal Allowance feature. - Meal allowance usage reporting: Monitor employee meal allowance usage with detailed transaction records and reports. Track benefit utilization, analyze spending trends across employee groups or locations, and audit meal allowance activity for improved expense management.

eSignage (tvOS) enhancements
-
eSignage 2.0 theme: A new display theme is now available for the tvOS version of eSignage. You can choose from the following themes:
- Legacy: The original eSignage layout.
- 2.0: A redesigned layout that supports displaying multiple pickup counters and order sources on a single display.
- Display multiple pickup counters on the same screen: Previously, a pickup display could be paired with only one pickup counter. With the new 2.0 theme, a single pickup display can show orders from multiple pickup counters simultaneously. This allows restaurants with multiple preparation or assembly stations to manage customer collections using one centralized customer-facing display.
- Display orders from multiple food delivery platforms: The 2.0 theme also supports displaying orders from multiple food delivery platforms on the same pickup display. This enables delivery couriers and takeout customers to quickly locate and identify their orders from a single screen.
- Display ticket expiry message on the queue display: You can now choose whether the ticket expiry message is displayed on the queue display, allowing you to customize the customer-facing experience based on your operational requirements.
