Set up and install mPOS

Learn how to set up and install the mPOS app on an Android device.

The mPOS is a mobile version of the POS which allows you to take customers’ orders tableside. With the mPOS, your staff can take and process orders almost instantly, thereby boosting your restaurant operations’ efficiency. To learn more about mPOS, visit eats365pos.com.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and install the mPOS.

Before you start

Important: mPOS is currently only available on Android devices.

To get your device ready to install mPOS, make sure you have the following ready:

  • An Android device connected to a stable internet connection
  • An mPOS license
  • An Eats365 POS terminal

Install mPOS

To install mPOS, follow the steps below:

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Play Store .
  2. Search for Eats365 mPOS.
  3. From the search results, select Eats365 mPOS, then tap Install. Once the download is complete, you can find the Eats365 POS app on your device. 

Pair mPOS to POS terminal

To pair mPOS to a POS terminal, follow the steps below:

  1. On your Android device, open mPOS.
    Note: Your device may ask you to enable permissions, tap Allow to continue. A QR code is then generated from the mPOS app which the POS terminal needs to scan in order to pair.
  2. On a POS terminal, login to the Eats365 POS.
  3. At the top left, tap Settings .
  4. Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap mPOS.
  5. Tap Scan QR Code. The POS terminal’s camera turns on.
  6. Align the mPOS QR code to the POS terminal’s camera.

Once the POS terminal successfully scans the mPOS QR code, you can then log in on the mPOS. At this point, you can start taking using the Table Map Screen and order-taking screen, just like on the POS.

Unpair mPOS from the POS app

To unpair the mPOS from the POS app, follow the steps below:

  1. On a POS terminal, login to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap mPOS.
  4. Select the mPOS device that you’d like to unpair.
  5. At the top right, tap Unpair Device.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm.

Once the mPOS is unpaired from the POS, the mPOS, including its configurations, is deleted. When you pair the device again, you must configure the settings to your preferences again.
