Set up and install Customer Facing Display
Learn how to set up and install the Customer Facing Display.
The Customer Facing Display (CFD) shows helpful order details for our customers. When the customer places their order, the CFD shows the items ordered, the total price, tax rates, and more on display. To learn more about the Customer Facing Display, visit eats365pos.com.
In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and install the Customer Facing Display.
Before you start
To get your device ready to install the Customer Facing Display, make sure you have the following ready:
- An iPad connected to a stable internet connection
- A Customer Facing Display license
- An Eats365 POS terminal
- Available menu images
- Applications permission to display Photo Shuffle
Install the Customer Facing Display
To install the Customer Facing Display, follow the steps below:
- On your iPad, open the Apple App Store .
- Search for Eats365 CFD.
- From the search results, select Eats365 CFD, then tap Get. Once the download is complete, you can find the Eats365 CFD app on your device.
Pair Customer Facing Display to the POS
To pair the Customer Facing Display to the POS, follow the steps below:
- On your iPad, open Eats365 CFD.
Note: Your device may ask you to enable permissions. Tap OK to continue. A QR code is generated from the CFD app, which the POS needs to scan in order to pair. - On the POS terminal, log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings .
- Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap Customer Facing Display.
- Tap Scan QR Code. The POS terminal’s camera turns on.
- Align the Customer Facing Display QR code to the POS terminal’s camera.
- Once the QR code is successfully scanned, the screen redirects to a page where you can configure your Customer Facing Display’s basic settings. You can choose to customize the Customer Facing Display’s settings now or do this later on.
Note: For more information, refer to Configure Customer Facing Display settings. - At the top right, tap Pair Device to continue pairing.
Once the Customer Facing Display is paired with the POS, the Customer Facing Display is ready to use.
Unpair Customer Facing Display from the POS
To unpair the Customer Facing Display from the POS, follow the steps below:
- On the POS terminal, log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings .
- Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap Customer Facing Display.
- Select the Customer Facing Display that you’d like to unpair.
- At the top right, tap Unpair Device.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Once the Customer Facing Display is unpaired from the POS, the Customer Facing Display, including its configurations, is deleted. When you pair the device again, you must configure the settings to your preferences again.
