Set up and install Queue Ticket Kiosk

Learn how to set up and install the Queue Ticket Kiosk.

The Ticket Kiosk allows you to optimize your staff workload by enabling customers to get their own queue ticket. Tickets can be customized to display QR codes to let customers know about the queue status. To learn more about the Queue Ticket Kiosk, visit eats365pos.com.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and install Queue Ticket Kiosk.

Before you start

To get your device ready to install Ticket Kiosk, make sure you have the following ready:

  • An Android device or iPad connected to a stable internet connection
  • A Queue Kiosk license
  • An Eats365 POS terminal
  • A Queue Ticket printer

Install Ticket Kiosk

To install Ticket Kiosk, follow the steps below:

iOS

  1. On your iPad, open the Apple App Store.
  2. Search for Eats365 Ticket Kiosk.
  3. From the search results, select Eats365 Ticket Kiosk, then tap Get. 

Once the download is complete, you can find the Eats365 Ticket Kiosk app on your device.

Android

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Eats365 Queue Kiosk.
  3. From the search results, select Eats365 Queue Kiosk, then tap Install. 

Once the download is complete, you can find the Eats365 Queue Kiosk app on your device.

Pair Ticket Kiosk to the POS

To pair Ticket Kiosk to the POS, follow the steps below:

iOS

  1. On your iPad, open the Ticket Kiosk app, then tap Pair Device. A QR code is then generated from the app, which the POS needs to scan in order to pair.
  2. On the POS terminal, log in to the Eats365 POS.
  3. At the top left, tap Settings .
  4. Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap Ticket Kiosk.
  5. Tap Scan QR Code. The POS terminal’s camera turns on.
  6. Align the Ticket Kiosk QR code to the POS terminal’s camera. Once the scan is successful, the device appears on the device list.
  7. The Ticket Kiosk redirects to the Ticket Kiosk’s settings. You can choose to customize the settings now or do this later on. 
    Note: For more information, refer to Configure Ticket Kiosk settings.
  8. The device may ask you to enable permissions. Tap OK to continue.

Android

  1. On your Android device, open the Queue Kiosk app. The QR Code automatically appears as soon as the app is open.
  2. On the POS terminal, log in to the Eats365 POS.
  3. At the top left, tap Settings .
  4. Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap Ticket Kiosk.
  5. Tap Scan QR Code. The POS terminal’s camera turns on.
  6. Align the Ticket Kiosk QR code to the POS terminal’s camera. Once the scan is successful, the device appears on the device list.

The Queue Kiosk displays the current queue status and the option to enter the party size to create queue tickets.

Note: The Queue Kiosk must be connected to a printer to create queue tickets.

Connect the Ticket Kiosk to a printer

To enable issuing tickets on the Ticket Kiosk, you must connect the Ticket Kiosk app to a Ticket Kiosk printer. For a list of compatible printers, refer to the List of compatible devices.

Note: If you don’t connect the Ticket Kiosk to a printer, you won’t be able to use the Ticket Kiosk to issue tickets. However, you may still use the Ticket Kiosk to display and call ticket numbers that are ready to be served.

To connect the Ticket Kiosk to a printer, follow the instructions in Scan and pair a Printer. Alternatively, you can go to the Ticket Kiosk settings to connect to a printer. 

To connect to a printer from the Ticket Kiosk settings, follow the steps below:

iOS

  1. On the Printer Settings, tap Scan.
  2. From the list of available printers, select the designated printer for printing queuing tickets.
  3. Tap Connect.

Android

  1. On the queuing tickets screen, tap the Eats365 logo six times. Then, enter the passcode. 
    Tip: If you haven’t set up a passcode for the Ticket Kiosk, the default passcode is 000000. To change the Ticket Kiosk passcode, refer to Configure Queue Ticket Kiosk settings.
  2. Tap Masung if you have a built-in printer with the Kiosk, or tap Epson if you have a separate printer.
  3. Tap Scan. 
  4. Select the preferred printer. Then, tap Connect.

Unpair Ticket Kiosk from the POS

To unpair the Ticket Kiosk from the POS, follow the steps below:

  1. On the POS terminal, log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Device Pairing, then tap Ticket Kiosk.
  4. Select the Ticket Kiosk device that you’d like to unpair.
  5. At the top right, tap Unpair Device.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm.

Once the Ticket Kiosk is unpaired from the POS, the Ticket Kiosk, including its configurations, is deleted. When you pair the device again, you must configure the settings to your preferences again.
