Configure PhotoMenu settings

Learn how to customize settings for the PhotoMenu.

Changing the settings on the PhotoMenu allows you to customize the app’s layout and behavior based on your preferences. You can change the PhotoMenu's individual or shared settings on the Eats365 POS app.

In this article, you’ll learn how to configure the PhotoMenu to your preferred settings.

Change individual PhotoMenu settings

To change specific settings on a PhotoMenu device, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Device Pairing. Then, tap Photo Menu.
  4. Under Paired Device, tap the paired PhotoMenu device.
  5. Choose a setting, then change the options according to your preferences. 
  6. At the top right, tap Save.
You can change the following options for your selected PhotoMenu device:

Default Language

Set the default language to your preferred language.

Delete

Tip: You can also change the language using the PhotoMenu. On the PhotoMenu, tap Language .

Menu Design Theme

Select from the available menu design themes.

Show Category by Default

Menu defaults to Category view.

Hide Soldout Items

Removes sold-out Items from the menu.

Display Subtotal

Shows the subtotal of ordered Items.

Fixed Table Number

Assign a specific PhotoMenu to a table number.

Note: If you have Table Sharing turned on, you won’t be able to turn on this setting. To turn off Table Sharing, refer to Set up Dine-In settings.

Hide Item Price

When turned on, the Item Price won’t show on the Menu.

Note: You need to turn on Fixed Table Number to assign a table number.

Select the table number that you want to assign to the PhotoMenu.

Override Shared Settings

When enabled, you can override the media source set under Shared Settings. You can set up media specific to the individual PhotoMenu.

Change shared PhotoMenu settings

Eats365 POS

To change shared settings on all PhotoMenu devices, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Device Pairing. Then, tap Photo Menu.
  4. Under Shared Settings, choose a setting, then change the options according to your preferences. 
  5. At the top right, tap Save to confirm.

You can change the following options for all PhotoMenu devices:

Shared settings

Auto Accept Order

Turn on if you want orders that are sent to the Eats365 POS from the PhotoMenu to be automatically accepted. Once the order has been accepted, default receipts, serving menus, customer order menus, kitchen tickets, and label stickers will be printed automatically.

Media Source

Select if you want to display existing Item images on shuffle or show custom content when the PhotoMenu is idle.

Note: To show custom content, a Media Group must be set up. For more information, refer to Set up and manage Media Group.

Reset Passcode

Change the PhotoMenu passcode.

Showcased Media Group

Delete

Note: This setting only appears if Media Source is set to show Custom Upload content.

Select the custom content that you want to appear on the PhotoMenu. You can choose from the  available Text, Images, and Videos that are uploaded to a Media Group.

Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

To change shared settings on all PhotoMenu devices, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
  2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings. 
  3. Under Modules, select eMenu. Then, click on Shared Settings.
  4. Choose a setting, then change the options according to your preferences.
  5. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

You can change the following options for all PhotoMenu devices:

Shared Settings

Auto Accept Order

Turn on if you want to auto-accept orders that are sent to the Eats365 POS from the PhotoMenu.

Media Group

Select if you want to display existing Item images on shuffle or show custom content.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to classic theme.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
  2. On the left panel, click on Modules. 
  3. Select eMenu. Then, click on Shared Settings.
  4. Choose a setting, then change the options according to your preferences.
  5. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

You can change the following options for all PhotoMenu devices:

Shared Settings

Set up Service Call

Service Call allow customers to quickly choose the type of service that they need. When enabled, customers can simply tap on the bell icon on the PhotoMenu. A prompt appears on the POS to notify staff when a Service Call for a table is needed.

To enable Service Call, follow the steps below: 

Eats365 POS

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS. 
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under Advanced Settings, tap System Preferences.
  4. Under Other Settings, tap Service Call.
  5. At the top right, tap Add Service Call.
  6. Enter a Service Call name.
  7. At the top right, tap Save to confirm.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
  2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings, then System Preferences. 
  3. Under System Preferences, click on General.
  4. At the top, click on the Operation Preferences tab, then under Service Call, click on Add New.
  5. Enter a Service Call name.
  6. At the top right, click on Save to confirm.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
  2. On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings, then System Preferences. 
  3. Select Operation Preferences.
  4. Under Service Call, click on Add New.
  5. Enter a Service Call name.
  6. At the top right, click on Save to confirm
