Adyen payment terminal faulty keypad
Learn how to troubleshoot issues if the keypad on the Adyen payment terminal is stuck or doesn’t work.
In some cases, your Adyen payment terminal may experience hardware issues, such as the keypad being stuck or suddenly doesn’t respond after pressing a key, which results in the payment terminal making noise.
To fix this issue, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Run a keypad test.
- Check your Adyen payment terminal’s hardware diagnostics documentation on how to perform a keypad test.
- If the test fails, contact Eats365 ServiceDesk.
- If the hardware test is unclear, proceed to the next step.
- Restart the payment terminal
- Turn off the terminal, then turn it on again.
- On the payment terminal, open the “Admin” menu and select Reboot or Power off.
- If you are using a tethered payment terminal, you can also unplug and reconnect the power cord to restart. Or, for battery-powered payment terminals, hold down the Cancel key.
- If this doesn't solve the issue, your payment terminal may need to be replaced.
