Enable print formal receipt (Japan)
Learn how to enable the "Formal Receipt" function so you can issue Japan-standardized receipts to your customers.
In Japan, merchants may need to issue receipts showing the official receipt format as standardized by the Japanese government. In such cases, you may enable the "Formal Receipt" setting, so you can print Japan-standardized receipts aside from the Eats365 receipts automatically printed by the POS. This "formal receipt" is typically referred to as a "ryoshusho (領収書)." It is distinct from a regular receipt and is essential for business and tax purposes. It often provides a more comprehensive breakdown of the transaction than a regular receipt, and may include the following information:
- The title "Receipt" or "領収書"
- The transaction date
- The total amount paid, including tax
- A breakdown of the transaction, including tax information
- The name and address of the business issuing the receipt
- The business's registration number
- The name of the customer
- A unique invoice number
