Set up and manage All You Can Eat Menu
Learn how to create, edit, delete, and change the settings of an All You Can Eat Menu in the Eats365 POS app or on the Merchant Portal.
The Eats365 POS allows you to create an All You Can Eat Menu wherein customers can conveniently choose and place their orders from their own devices while dining in your restaurant.
In this article, you’ll learn the different settings and options for an All You Can Eat Menu, as well as how to create, edit, and delete an All You Can Eat Menu.
Before you start
A BYOD license is required to be able to set up an All You Can Eat Menu. You may reach out to a Channel Partner or to an Eats365 Sales Agent to purchase a license. Once a license has been created, you or the Channel Partner can enable the Scan to Order feature from the Merchant Portal.
Enable Scan to Order from the Merchant Portal
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Dine-In.
Click on Scan to Order.
Turn on Allow to Place Dine-in Order
, then Enable Scan to Order
. Additional settings become available under Scan to Order and Pay Later Setting.
Next to Dine-In Website, select the branded web URL that the QR code would link to.

Other Scan to Order settings you can choose to enable:
Enable Quantity Limit: When you turn on this setting, it sets a Quantity Limit on the items you include in your All You Can Eat Menu. To turn this setting on, click on Enable Quantity Limit
.
Enable Cut Off Time: When you turn on this setting, it gives you the option to set a Cut Off time for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Note to Customer in Bill Page: In the field next to Customer in Bill Page, enter the note you’d like to appear on the customer’s Bill Page.
Order Creation is required when ordering with Table QR Code: When you turn on this setting, a customer must be seated at a table through the POS to activate the QR code.

Enable Menu Preview: When you turn on this setting, it shows a menu preview upon scanning the QR code.
To provide a verification code for ordering when the customer can’t scan the QR code, turn on Enable Order Verification Code
.

Pay Later Settings you can choose to enable:
Hide Subtotal in Cart: When you turn on this setting, the subtotal will not show in the customer’s cart.
Auto Accept Order: When you turn on this setting, the order is accepted automatically and there wouldn’t need to accept the order on the POS manually.
Merchant Portal 2.0
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings. Then, click on Dine-In.
Click on Scan to Order.
Turn on Allow to Place Dine-in Order
, then Enable Scan to Order
. Additional settings become available under Scan to Order.
Next to Branded Online Store Website, select the branded web URL that the QR code would link to.
Other Scan to Order settings you can choose to enable:
Enable Quantity Limit: When you turn on this setting, it sets a Quantity Limit on the items you include in your All You Can Eat Menu. To turn this setting on, click on Enable Quantity Limit
.
Enable Cut Off Time: When you turn on this setting, it gives you the option to set a Cut Off time for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Note to Customer in Bill Page: In the field next to Customer in Bill Page, enter the note you’d like to appear on the customer’s Bill Page.

Enable Menu Preview: When you turn on this setting, it shows a menu preview upon scanning the QR code.

Enable Dynamic QR Code: When enabled, you can generate a dynamic QR Code which you can use for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Create an All You Can Eat Menu
To create an All You Can Eat Menu, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
- Open the Eats365 POS app.
- At the top left, tap Settings
.
- Under General, tap Menu Setup, then All You Can Eat Menu.
- At the top right, tap Add Menu. Doing this takes you to the General page.
- Enter the following information:
- Menu Name
- Menu Description

Status (on or off)
Note: If the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating is already available, set the Status to on. If the menu isn’t available yet, you can skip this and turn it on later.
- Under Menu Enabling, tap +Add Combination, then tap +Add Item. Doing this creates a combination (for example, Combination 1). You can add more combinations by tapping +Add Combination again. Then, select the category, then choose the Item. To add another Item, tap +Add Item again. If you can’t find the Items you want to add, you must first create the Items for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Tip:- The combination you create activates the All You Can Eat Menu when selected. For example, you can create an item called "Combo 1 - All-You-Can-Eat Beef", which you can set as the representative item in a combination. Upon the customer’s selection of the item, the All You Can Eat Menu will automatically be activated.
- Make sure to set the price of the All You Can Eat items you include in the combination to "0" unless they are additional priced items.
- If you want to add an option for customers to extend their dining time, under Time Extension, tap +Select Representing Item. You can add more Time Extension options by tapping +Select Representing Item again. Then:
- Representing Item: Tap Choose Item, then select the category then the Item.
- Duration (min): Enter the duration.
Note:- You must specify the dining time under Dining Time to add a Time Extension.
- If you can’t find the Item you set up for the Time Extension option, you must first create one.
- If multiple instances of the same extension time item are added to an order, the effect will be based on the first instance added, and subsequent additions will be invalid.
- Under Availability Period Settings, set the Start Time to the date and time the All You Can Eat Menu is available. If the menu is only available for a limited time, turn on Has End Time, then set End Time to the menu’s intended expiration.
Note: If the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating doesn’t have an expiration, keep Has End Time turned off.
- Other settings you can turn on or off:

Dining Time and Cut-off Time: Set the Dining Time Limit (mins) for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating.
- If you set a Cut-off Time for your restaurant in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Cut-off Time
if it doesn’t apply to the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating.
- If you want to set a different Cut-off time for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating, turn on Enable Cut-off Time
and specify the Cut-off Time (mins).
- If you set a Cut-off Time for your restaurant in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Cut-off Time

Time Gap Between Order: Depending on the Dining Time Calculation you set and whether you turned on Enable Time Gap Between Order in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Time Gap Between Order
if it applies to the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating. Then, specify the Time Gap Between Order (mins).
Note:- You can enable POS Orders Affect Time Gap Calculation
if you want the time gap count to start from the last order on the POS.
- If you don’t want POS orders to trigger the time gap function, turn this setting off.
- You can enable POS Orders Affect Time Gap Calculation

Item Quantity Limit: If you want to set a Quantity Limit on the items you included in your All You Can Eat Menu, turn on Override Item Quantity Limit
. Then, turn on Enable Item Quantity Limit
and specify the Item Quantity Limit that applies to your menu.

Dining Time and Cut-off Time: Set the Dining Time Limit (mins) for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating.
- At the top of the page, tap Included Categories & Items, then select all the Items that are available for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating. To include an Item, tap the checkbox next to the Item you want to include. Tap Expand
to find more Items.
- At the top right, tap Save. If you want to cancel the creation of your All You Can Eat Menu, at the top left, tap
All You Can Eat Menu (return to the previous page).
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
- At the top right, click on +All You Can Eat Menu. Doing this takes you to the General page.
- If the All You Can Eat Menu you're creating is already available, set the Status to on.
Note: If the menu isn’t available yet, you can skip this and turn it on later. - Enter the Menu Name and the Menu Description.
- Under Menu Enabling, click on +Add Combination, then click on +Add Item. Doing this creates a combination (for example, Combination 1). You can add more combinations by clicking on +Add Combination again. Then:
- Click on Select Categories, then select the categories of the Items that you want to add.
- Click on Select Representing Items, then select the Items that you want to add. If you can’t find the Items that you want to add, you must first create the Items for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Tip:- The combination you create activates the All You Can Eat Menu when selected. For example, you can create an item called "Combo 1 - All-You-Can-Eat Beef", which you can set as the representative item in a combination. Upon the customer’s selection of the item, the All You Can Eat Menu will automatically be activated.
- Make sure to set the price of the All You Can Eat items you include in the combination to "0" unless they are additional priced items.
- If you want to add an option for customers to extend their dining time, under Time Extension, click on +Add Item, then click on Represent Item. Next, select the Item that you set up for the Time Extension option, then, add the Duration (mins). You can add more Time Extension options by clicking on +Add Item again.
Note:- You must specify the dining time under Dining Time to add a Time Extension.
- If you can’t find the Item that you set up for the Time Extension option, you must first create one.
- If multiple instances of the same extension time item are added to an order, the effect will be based on the first instance added, and subsequent additions will be invalid.
- Under Availability, set Start to the date and time the All You Can Eat Menu is available. If the menu is only available for a limited time, set End to the menu’s intended expiration.
Note: If the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating doesn’t have an expiration, keep End as "Never.” - Other settings you can turn on or off:

and specify the Cut-off Time (mins).
- If you set a Cut-off Time for your restaurant in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Cut-off Time

Time Gap Between Order: Depending on the Dining Time Calculation you set and whether you turned on Enable Time Gap Between Order in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Time Gap Between Order
if it applies to the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating. Then, specify the Time Gap Between Order (mins). You can enable POS Orders Affect Time Gap Calculation
if you want the time gap count to start from the last order on the POS.
Note: If you don’t want POS orders to trigger the time gap function, turn this setting off. -
Item Quantity Limit: If you want to set a Quantity Limit on the items you included in your All You Can Eat Menu, turn on Override Item Quantity Limit
. Then, turn on Enable Item Quantity Limit
and specify the Item Quantity Limit that applies to your menu.

Dining Time and Cut-off Time: Set the Dining Time Limit (mins) for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating.
- Scroll back to the top of the page, then click on Included Categories and Items. Then, select all the Items that are available for the All You Can Eat Menu that you’re creating. To include an Item, click on the checkbox next to the Item that you want to include. Click on expand
to find more Items.
- At the top right, click on Save. If you want to cancel the creation of your All You Can Eat Menu, click on Cancel.

- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
- At the top right, click on +All You Can Eat Menu.
- If the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating is already available, turn on Active
.
Note: If the menu isn’t available yet, you can skip this and turn it on later. - Enter the Menu Name and the Menu Description.
- Under Menu Enabling, create a combination for your All You Can Eat Menu.
- Select a category with the items that you want to add from the drop-down list.
- Select the Representing Items for your All You Can Eat Menu.
Note: If you can’t find the Items that you want to add, you must first create the Items for your All You Can Eat Menu. - To add more combinations, click on Add Combination.

- Other settings you can turn on or off:
- Dining Time and Cut-off Time: Set the Dining Time Limit (mins) for the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating.
- Override Cut-Off Time: Create a different cut-off time for your All You Can Eat Menu.

Time Gap Between Order: Depending on the Dining Time Calculation you set and whether you turned on Enable Time Gap Between Order in the Dine-in settings, you can enable Override Time Gap Between Order
if it applies to the All You Can Eat Menu you’re creating. Then, specify the Time Gap Between Order (mins).
Note: If you don’t want POS orders to affect the time gap calculation, turn off Effective from POS order. -
Item Quantity Limit: If you want to set a Quantity Limit on the items you included in your All You Can Eat Menu, turn on Override Item Quantity Limit
. Then, turn on Enable Item Quantity Limit
and specify the Item Quantity Limit that applies to your menu.
- At the top, click on Included Categories and Items. Then, select all the Items that are available for the All You Can Eat Menu that you’re creating. To include an Item, click on the checkbox
next to the Item that you want to include. Click on expand
to find more Items.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
Make an existing All You Can Eat Menu available
To make an existing All You Can Eat Menu available, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
Open the Eats365 POS app.
At the top left, tap Settings
.
Under General, tap Menu Setup, then tap All You Can Eat Menu.
Select the All You Can Eat Menu you’d like to make available.
Set Status to on
.
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, select All You Can Eat Menu.
At the top right, click on +All You Can Eat Menu, then select the All You Can Eat Menu that you’d like to make available.
Under General, set Status to on.
Merchant Portal 2.0
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, select All You Can Eat Menu.
- Next to the All You Can Eat Menu that you want to make available, click on Edit
.
- Toggle on Active
.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
Edit an existing All You Can Eat Menu
To modify an existing All You Can Eat Menu, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
Open the Eats365 POS app.
At the top left, tap Settings
.
Under General, tap Menu Setup. Then, tap All You Can Eat Menu, and edit the settings. You may refer to the Create an All You Can Eat Menu section for more information about the settings.
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
At the top right, click on +All You Can Eat Menu, then select the All You Can Eat Menu you’d like to edit. You may refer to the Create an All You Can Eat Menu section for more information.
Merchant Portal 2.0
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
- Next to the All You Can Eat Menu that you want to edit, click on Edit
.
- Update your All You Can Eat Menu.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
Delete an existing All You Can Eat Menu
To remove an existing All You Can Eat Menu, follow the steps below:
Eats365 POS
Open the Eats365 POS app.
At the top left, tap Settings
.
Under General, tap Menu Setup, then tap All You Can Eat Menu.
Tap Delete, then tap Confirm.
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
On the All You Can Eat Menu that you’d like to delete, click on Delete
, then click on Confirm.

- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
On the left panel, click on Menu Setup. Then, click on All You Can Eat Menu.
On the All You Can Eat Menu that you’d like to delete, click on Delete
, then click on Confirm.
