Create Pickup and Delivery orders

Learn how to create Pickup and Delivery orders on the Eats365 POS.

Pickup orders are placed to accommodate customers who choose to make an advanced order and drop by the restaurant to pick up their items instead of dining in.

Delivery orders are placed to accommodate customers who choose to have their orders sent to their preferred address instead of going to the restaurant.

In this article, you’ll learn how to place new Delivery or Pickup orders, as well as use existing customer information to place a Delivery order. 

Any order can be placed as Pickup or Delivery through the Takeout option from the order-taking screen. You can tap Takeout if your default setting is set to Dine-In.

Tip: You can set the Takeout screen as the default view from the General Preferences settings, so you won’t need to tap Dine-In every time you log in.

Set a Pickup or Delivery schedule

Before taking Pickup and Delivery orders, you must first set the Scheduled Time.

To specify a Scheduled Time, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Takeout from the order-taking screen.
  2. At the top of the order list, tap the clock .
  3. Choose a Scheduled Time.
  4. Tap Confirm.

Place an order for Delivery

To place a Delivery order, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Takeout from the order-taking screen.
  2. At the top of the order list, tap the address book .
  3. Select Delivery, then enter all relevant customer details on the Contact Info screen.
  4. At the top right, tap Done to confirm.

Place an order for Pickup

To place a Pickup order, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Takeout from the order-taking screen.
  2. At the top of the order list, tap the address book .
  3. Select Pickup, then enter all relevant customer details on the Contact Info screen.
  4. At the top right, tap Done to confirm.

Customer Lookup

You can search for repeat customers using their phone numbers. All current contact information auto-completes the necessary fields if a customer's record is found.

Delete

Note: Customer Lookup is only available for Delivery orders.

To search for a customer record, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Takeout from the order-taking screen.
  2. At the top of the order list, tap the address book .
  3. Select Delivery.
  4. Enter the customer’s phone number, then tap Lookup. After a successful search, a list of delivery addresses appears based on previous orders. 
  5. Choose the correct address, then continue by adding items to the order.

Display customer contact info on receipt

To show a customer’s delivery address, name, or phone number on their receipt, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under Settings, tap Printing.
  4. Tap Receipt Template.
  5. Under Contact Info, turn on the following contact info options:
    • Print Delivery Address on Takeout Receipt
    • Print Contact Name on Receipt
    • Print Contact Phone Number on Receipt
      Note: Turning on Print Contact Phone Number on Receipt will enable you to turn on Partially Mask Contact Phone Number on Receipt. This option replaces some numbers as special characters.
  6. Tap Save to confirm.
