Fire and Hold Items

Learn how to hold and fire Items to the kitchen manually.

The Fire and Hold buttons allow you to send Items to the kitchen manually. Normally, when you place an order on the POS, the order is automatically sent to the kitchen once you tap Confirm. However, if you don’t want to fire all Items simultaneously, you can hold Items on the order and then fire them to the kitchen at different times.

In this article, you’ll learn about how to hold an Item and fire them manually from the Eats365 POS.

Note:

  • Make sure to turn on Print to Kitchen from the Item settings. Otherwise, the Fire and Hold buttons won’t appear on the order-taking screen.
  • If you have Fire Dine-In Items by Default or Fire Takeout Items by Default turned off, Items are placed on hold automatically. Each Item must be fired manually before the order can be sent to the kitchen.

Hold an Item

To hold an Item, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. On the order-taking screen, select the Items that you want to add to the customer's order.
