Set up and manage a Kitchen Station

Learn how to create and manage Kitchen Stations for your items on the Eats365 POS or on the Merchant Portal.

A Kitchen Station defines the location of a paired Printer. You can then assign a Kitchen Station to a Menu Item based on where the food item is serviced in the Kitchen. 

In this article, you’ll learn how to add, edit, and delete a Kitchen Station.

Add a Kitchen Station

To add a Kitchen Station, follow the steps below:

Eats365 POS

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Menu Setup, and then select Kitchen Station.
  4. At the top right, tap Add Kitchen Station.
  5. Enter your preferred Kitchen Station name.
  6. Tap Add to confirm.
    Note: If a printer is linked to a Kitchen Station, the printer appears under Assigned Printer.

Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. At the top right, click +Kitchen Station.
  4. Enter your preferred Kitchen Station name.
  5. (Optional) If you already have items on your menu, you can either select the entire category or the individual menu items that you’d like to include in the Kitchen Station. Tap + to expand or - to collapse the list.
  6. Click Save to confirm.

    Note: If a printer is linked to a Kitchen Station, the printer appears under Assigned Printer.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. At the top right, click +Kitchen Station.
  4. Enter your preferred Kitchen Station name.
  5. (Optional) If you already have items on your menu, you can either select the entire category or the individual menu items that you’d like to include in the Kitchen Station. Tap the category name to show the Items created under that category.
  6. Click Save to confirm.
    Note: If a printer is linked to a Kitchen Station, the printer appears under Assigned Printer.

Edit a Kitchen Station

To make changes to a Kitchen Station, follow the steps below:

Eats365 POS

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  4. Tap on a Kitchen Station that you want to edit.
  5. Update the station name to your preferred Kitchen Station name.
  6. Tap Update to confirm.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. Next to the Kitchen Station that you want to edit, click on Edit .
  4. Update the Station Name and the Items To Print.
  5. Click Save to confirm.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. Next to the Kitchen Station that you want to edit, click on Edit .
  4. Update the Station Name and the Items To Print.
  5. Click Save to confirm.

Note: Kitchen Stations can only be deleted if there are no longer any printers or items that belong to the Kitchen Station.

To remove a Kitchen Station, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings .
  3. Under General, tap Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  4. Tap on a Kitchen Station that you want to delete.
  5. At the top right, tap Delete. A prompt appears to confirm if you want to delete the Kitchen Station.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Experience Merchant Portal 2.0.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. Next to the Kitchen Station that you want to delete, click on Delete . A prompt appears to confirm if you want to delete the Kitchen Station.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Tip: To switch themes, at the top right, click on the account name. Then, select Back to Classic Theme.

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal. 
  2. Click on Menu Setup, then select Kitchen Station.
  3. Next to the Kitchen Station that you want to delete, click on Delete . A prompt appears to confirm if you want to delete the Kitchen Station.
  4. Click Confirm to delete.
