Manage online ordering status on the Eats365 POS

Learn how to enable or disable receiving online orders on the Eats365 POS.

You can control your restaurant’s online ordering availability directly from the Eats365 POS. This feature allows you to turn on or suspend receiving orders placed through your restaurant's online channels, providing operational flexibility during service hours.

You just had an unexpected rush of customers come in, and your kitchen is getting overwhelmed with in-house orders. Don't worry, you can pause incoming online orders for a set period and resume them once things calm down. This article explains how to temporarily suspend or resume receiving online orders on the Eats365 POS to help you manage your restaurant's operation smoothly.

Important: Your POS user account must have the "Accept Online Orders" permission enabled to manage online ordering status. To learn how, refer to Manage staff roles and permissions.

Before you can manage the POS online ordering status, you must first set up online ordering for your restaurant. By enabling the online ordering function for a dining type, you're allowing the POS to receive online orders. Refer to the following articles to learn more:

In this article, you'll learn how to suspend and resume receiving online orders on the Eats365 POS.

Tip: You can check the current online ordering receiving status on the Merchant Portal dashboard.

Suspend receiving online orders

To pause accepting online orders, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings Accept Online Orders.
  3. Disable the appropriate toggle.
    • Accept Online Orders (General toggle): This pauses receiving online orders for all dining types.
    • Specific dining types: This allows you to pause receiving online orders for select dining types. For example, you can disable Delivery Order but not Pickup Order .
  4. Select the suspension duration, then tap Confirm. Once the chosen duration is finished, receiving online orders will resume automatically. This prevents any unintentional oversight with manually turning the setting back on.

Note: Receiving online orders is enabled by default when you have the online ordering function configured for your restaurant.

To start accepting online orders again for the whole restaurant or a specific dining type, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top left, tap Settings Accept Online Orders.
  3. Enable  the appropriate toggle.
    • Accept Online Orders (General toggle): This resumes receiving online orders for all dining types.
    • Specific dining types: This allows you to resume receiving online orders for select dining types. For example, you can enable Delivery Order but not Pickup Order .
