FAQs on the Expedite Display
Get answers to all your questions about the Expedite Display.
This article answers common questions about using the Expedite Display alongside relevant modules such as the Eats365 POS, the Kitchen Display System, and the eSignage.
Will the Expedite Display work without the Eats365 POS?
The Expedite Display must be paired with the Eats365 POS for it to function. All orders are processed through the Eats365 POS before being transmitted to the kitchen. Once submitted, orders appear on relevant modules, including the Expedite Display and the Kitchen Display System.
While the Eats365 POS serves as the core module for order management, the Expedite Display works in tandem to enhance the kitchen workflow and the overall customer experience.
To learn how to pair the Expedite Display with the Eats365 POS, refer to Set up and Install Expedite Display.
DeleteHow is the Expedite Display different from the Kitchen Display System?
The Kitchen Display System manages all orders that require kitchen preparation. The Kitchen Display System is used by kitchen staff to prepare the items included in an order. If the restaurant has multiple kitchen stations, each station can have its own Kitchen Display System, configured to show only items relevant to that station. For more information about the Kitchen Display System, refer to Eats365 Kitchen Display System.
Meanwhile, the Expedite Display tracks all orders ready to be served to customers. Once items on an order are prepared, expeditors and kitchen packers can tick off the items in the Expedite Display to ensure all items are complete before calling an order for pickup. Unlike the Kitchen Display, which can be configured to show only items relevant to a kitchen station, the Expedite Display displays complete order information, including an item breakdown and the order number or table number to which it should be assigned.
DeleteDo I need to pair the Expedite Display with the Kitchen Display System manually?
No. The Expedite Display only needs to be paired manually with the Eats365 POS. Once the Expedite Display is connected to the POS, it will automatically sync with other relevant Modules, including the Kitchen Display System and eSignage.
DeleteDo I need an internet connection to use the Expedite Display?
Yes. The Expedite Display should be connected to the same network as the Eats365 POS. Since the Expedite Display is synced with the Eats365 POS, a stable internet connection is required so that all orders placed on the POS are synced to the Expedite Display.
DeleteWhat do I need to set up an Expedite Display?
You only need the following to get things started:
- An advanced subscription
- An iPad connected to a stable internet connection
- An Expedite Display license
- An Eats365 POS terminal
For more information about setting up the Expedite Display, refer to Set up and Install Expedite Display.
