Set up predictive item suggestions for the Branded Online Store
Learn how to proactively suggest upsell items to customers based on their ordering history.
The "Guess You May Like" feature allows you to configure AI-suggested items for customers during ordering or on the checkout page for both takeout and dine-in orders. This AI-driven recommendation function suggests items based on the restaurant's item sales trend, the customer’s purchase history, and items added to their current cart. This feature also adapts over time by learning the customer's preferences.

In this article, you'll learn how to enable suggesting predictive items for your restaurant's Branded Online Store website.
Configure the Guess You May Like feature
To add predictive item suggestions on the Branded Online Store, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings

Guess You May Like. - Turn on Enable

- Under "Applicable Modules," enable
the dining types that you want to set predictive item suggestions for:
- Online Ordering - Web App (Dine-in Pay Later)
- Online Ordering - Web App (All Other Dining Modes)
- Marketplace
- Place a check mark
on where you want the recommendations to appear:
- Mobile Menu Page: The "Recommended for You" sections

Mobile Cart Page: The "You May Also Like" section on the checkout page

Desktop: The "Recommended for You" section
Note: This is not available for Dine-in.
- Under "Availability," select the following:

- Start date
- End date
- Time Slots
- (Optional) Special Handing Date(s)
Note: You must have Date Groups set up for this. - (Optional) Unavailable Date(s)

- By default, all your menu items can be recommended. To prevent certain items from being predictive item suggestions, under "Excluded Items," click on Browse and select the items or categories you want to exclude.
- At the top, click on Save to confirm.
